Dwight Trible Album Review

Dwight Trible Album Review

"To make it short this LP is this year's 'Black Gold of The Sun'. Although it is really too mellow and too wide for such a comparison. It is definitely the best stoned, astral jazz with a fat slug of hip hop album you'll hear this year. Dwight ... croons beautifully with a rich, soft voice and favours lyrics about peace, love and faraway, glittering constellations ... Its an album of dazzling combinations: something that sounds like Zapp remixing The Last Poets giving way to an acid jazz wet-dream of looped bongos and electric pianos that hum off into golden echoes. And there's always Dwight, talking, humming and singing about love and the universe in that soulful, warm voice ... it all adds up to one truly great album" ... 5/5.UPDATE magazine
