This is not just a remix competition…

Make a piece of music which relates to Emika's track '3 Hours'. There are stems from the track and the song's lyrics which you can download at Soundcloud. You have complete creative freedom to take as much or little from the original track as you wish. You may want to record your own composed and performed sounds or do your own vocal or orchestration. Emika will personally listen to all entries and select one winning track.

The only requirements are:
You are as creative as possible
Your composition is linked to Emika's track '3 Hours'

Upload it via Soundcloud to the competition group by 23 March 2012.

I am hosting this '3 Hours' REWORK COMPETITION project to open a discussion, to contribute to a more dynamic future for electronic music, and to encourage the development of our music vocabulary. I want to see a musical landscape that is not swallowed by long standing dance music conventions, one that does not only begin and end with the kick drum, one that is not governed by laptops on stage and also one that is not completely dominated by producers.

Anyone who would like to contribute to the electronic music community, and development of composition in electronic music and anyone who is passionate about making their own sound signature and listening to their own imagination is welcome to participate!
