Solid Steel Radio 19-07-13 - DJ Bobafatt & Memory9

It's DJ Bobafatt once again with the second part of his mix for Soundwave Festival in Croatia, which is on right now and all over the weekend. Each track in the mix features an artist playing at the festival, with the Ninja family heavily represented by Lapalux, Bonobo, Illum Sphere and Letherette.

Plus a whole host of great artists including Robert Glasper, Eliphino, Quantic, fLako and DJ Shadow to make you totally jealous at not being there.

In Hour 2 it's Memory9, another artist playing at Soundwave Festival and someone who has featured many times on Solid Steel. For his 25th Anniversary mix it's a personal panoramic view of tracks played on the show that have influenced his musical interests over the years.

Starting with music from Ninja Tune artists in the '90s from Amon Tobin, his previous incarnation Cujo, Coldcut, DJ Toolz and Clifford Gilberto, before moving forward into the '00s with Jurassic 5, Prefuse 73, Luke Vibert and Four Tet.

Then it's more recent tracks from Flying Lotus, Silent Dust remixed by Om Unit, Teebs and more from Bonobo, plus a whole heap of Solid Steel references.

The Memory9 12" The Abyss Within is available on July 22nd on Mnemonic Dojo with remixes by Om Unit and H-SIK.
