Solid Steel Radio 07-03-14 - Darkhouse Family, DK, Elemental

Darkhouse Family open the show this week and their new EP has already received plenty of spins on the show. They start with Madlib and onto the first of many unreleased tracks from Dan Marshall, Metabeats, Dave Intex and their own productions, plus a couple from the recent Flying Lotus giveaway.

Then it's two tracks from their new Brockwild EP, which is out on Monday and they close with a Soft Machine track from 1981.

DK continues the hour with a track from the Deft EP and onto killer 909 laced dancehall from Tiger, another spin for Four Tet alongside Terror Danjah and a forthcoming release on his Text label from Taraval.

Then it's early house from 1988 with Last Generation, a track from the Actress album, two from Moodymann and onto the Lone remix for Illum Sphere, followed by a footwork selection featuring DJ Rashad, Addison Groove, The Moody Boyz and two from Machinedrum, including a track from his new Fenris District EP.

In Hour 2 we welcome Adam Elemental who has been producing since he was a teenager and influenced by the jungle pirate radio stations across London, Detroit techno, acid house, experimental electronica, King Tubby and his Dad's Jazz and avante-garde music collection.

His mix reflects some of those influences alongside where he's at musically. There's forthcoming and unreleased music from the man himself, plus recent offerings from Om Unit and Onoe Caponoe remixed by Djrum, plus a 90's selection from FSOL, Jeff Mills and William Orbit.
