Werkdiscs Announces New Video and Forthcoming 12" from Moiré

Moiré's approach to production revolves around experimentation with momentary raw ideas driven by impulse, followed by intense periods of immersion into the minute details of a track. "BBOY 202" was conceived as a response to his first release on Actress' Werkdiscs imprint - "Lose It" - revisiting and reworking familiar sounds in a way to create something raw, immersive and driving.

"False" originates from the same concept but drawing on the sampling aesthetic of hip-hop and working at a higher BPM than usual, driven by the need to feel something faster. Finally "Window", the result of late night experimentation, was made in a Hamburg synth studio on a Jupiter 8. It is a momentary response to a feeling, but it is also an insight into the future.

The video created by Disguise and premiered via FACT embodies Moiré - his mind, his motivation and his desire to experiment, evolve and search for fulfilment - entering further into that distorted world of crazy lines and textures.

Moiré's new 12" will be released on 12" and digital formats via Werkdiscs / Ninja Tune on 2nd June 2014.
