Kid Koala is legendary for his turntable experiments; over 3 albums he has carved out a unique, sophisticated and hugely enjoyable cut & paste aesthetic. On his album 12 bit Blues his experiments with the E-mu SP-1200 sampler and turntables lead in a new direction - classic American blues reconstructed as only Kid Koala can. 

These two excellent tracks show two different shades of the album - the jaunty, toe tapping "2 Bit Blues" and the more haunting "6 Bit Blues"- both combining the best of blues musicianship with cut and screwed vocals in a way that is not often heard and only Kid Koala could pull off.
