The next phase in the DJ Food story is the extraction and near complete annihilation of "The Illectrik Hoax" from his album The Search Engine by the Amorphous Androgynous (aka The Future Sound of London). The AA began work in the Autumn of 2011 and by the turn of the new year had turned in a 17 minute Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble Mix that contained not one, not two, but three distinct 'tracks'. Accompanying said remix / reinterpretation / rebirth they sent this communiqué:

DJ Food post mash analysis:
Very pleasing frequencies of neo- SKANKERDELIC RUDE BOY proportion...we have removed a little of the ghetto and added a little synapse twist the cosmic turn here and there...we trust you find it pleasing!
We have delivered (sigh... such is our want) a 17min MONSTROUS PSYCH BUBBLE the journey of which brings us joy...HOWEVER part 3 undeniably has a certain GROOVE THANG leading us to strongly suspect that it may very well have a life outside of the Monstrous enclave (therefore in addition to the MPB longform we have delivered a separate file).
One can certainly foresee it (part 3) functioning perfectly in a club that perhaps at present has not yet fully come into existence but nonetheless signs are easily detectable now in such established AND perverse places as the INDIE ROCK DISCO that it might not be too long a wait - the universe is pregnant for the nth time!!
SO SHALL IT BE WITH THIS - feed those establishments FOR THIS IS FOOD they will find instantly gratifying!!!!
In our ideal world (is there any other ?????) the MPB longform mix (digital) perfectly splits as a double AA side vinyl (much beloved by men of psych / classic rock persuasion an um.....intelligent electronica (sic) for the earth period 91-93) - BURP!
Therefore we have ALSO provided the 2 files / sides for this to come to pass (should it ALSO be your want!!)
It should also be noted HOWEVER that our preference for the vinyls in this period is merely a practical one since we are keen that our message be preserved in the great pole reversal of this coming period when all things magnetic in nature (computer drives etc) will be wiped and LOST - we request therefore that vinyl stand as testimony for our children's children's children...it is of course your label and MR FOOD your track so we can only trust you will do as you need for the furtherance of your credo...
In love and inclination to further pursue such sonic adventures...

We couldn't have put it better ourselves. To add to the confusion they've also supplied a radio edit of the third track, "The Electric Images (In My Mind Never Die)". DJ Food has also stripped his own 9 minute reworking of The The's "GIANT" featuring the man himself, Matt Johnson, down to a serviceable 4 minutes too. Rounding out the package, and an exclusive to the download, is Food collaborator 2econd Class Citizen's near ambient reworking of "The Illectrik Hoax" which was debuted at DJ Food's launch party in the London Planetarium earlier this year. This mix couldn't be further from AA's vision as he slows it down and gives it an almost folk-like edge.
