Solid Steel Radio 21-03-14 - Neuropol, Jon1st, Werkha

In the first hour it's Neuropol ahead of the release of his new EP on Monday. It's a mix that took in a snapshot of the vast array of music that has inspired him in his own productions and it also includes a couple of cuts from his forthcoming Warning EP on SGN:LTD.

As with his productions he focused on the contrast between emotion/depth and tough beats and bass, with tracks from Moresounds, Fracture, Sam Binga and dBridge.

DMC champ Jon1st takes over proceedings with a mix of some of the new music he's been playing out in his club sets recently. It features some new artists, including forthcoming material from Tehbis and They Call Me Raptor, as well as more established names, including upcoming tracks by Alix Perez, DJ Rashad, DJ Spinn, Ital Tek and Om Unit's Cosmic Bridge label. This summer you can catch him DJing at festivals across the UK and Soundwave festival in Croatia.

Our guest in Hour 2 is Werkha who is signed to Tru Thoughts. He is currently on tour with Bonobo, who is featured in the mix, as well as tracks from fellow label mates Nostalgia 77 and Quantic. We also hear music from James Blake, Mike Slott, Mosca and FaltyDL, plus tracks from his forthcoming Beacons EP which is out on Monday.

As he says "This mix: It's about the musical bridges I hear between the different styles of music i listen to, it's kind of a little insight into the musical map in my mind." Catch him supporting Bonobo tonight in Gdansk and Saturday night in Krakow, otherwise just enjoy this mix.
