Week VI - Blockhead 'The Music Scene' Video

Ninja Tune XX - Week VI - Blockhead 'The Music Scene' Video

This week's giveaway is something we've been very excited about since commissioning its creation several months ago. The brand new video for Blockhead's 'The Music Scene' is an animation by Anthony Schepperd, the man behind Ape School's 'Wail to God'. The result of the pairing is a masterful, absorbing object that far exceeds the remit of a music video. The wreckage of a city re-taken by nature becomes a playground for Plasticine-brained mannequins, mechanical spiders, eye-screens and tentacles; and, of course, the animals from the Blockhead album artwork.

We hope you enjoy it as much as we have. It's here for free and is iPhone compatible.

As an added extra, you can also download a snippet of Blockhead's brand new track, 'Ugly Brown', exclusive to our massive box set out this September. Also expect a Blockhead remix by one of hip-hop's all-time innovators, EL-P, as part of our XX releases too!
