DJ Seinfeld and Confidence Man team up on a brand new, collaborative single “Now U Do”, out now on Ninja Tune. Described by Seinfeld as “quirky, naive and an ode to all the summer flings out there”, “Now U Do” is a fun-filled summer anthem which arrives at the optimum moment in the height of festival season, in which it’ll effortlessly feel at home in sunset filled fields.

DJ Seinfeld - the Swedish producer who grew from lo-fi house pioneer to one of the most singular talents in dance music today - explains how he and the acclaimed electronic-pop group from Melbourne Confidence Man, came to work together for a collaboration that feels like a natural fit -

"I had hung out with Confidence Man a couple of times and always had an absolute blast, so last time I was in Melbourne we just went into the studio and it was really just more fun. I showed them a bunch of stuff that I was working on and they instantly reacted to the track that became 'Now U Do’”.

I don’t think it took more than a few hours before the track and vocals were ironed out. We were all bouncing around and enjoying it in their studio so I've just had this really giddy-up feeling about it ever since”.

Speaking more on the single Confidence Man say - 

"Conman x Seinfeld is an inner trip that takes you somewhere sexy and expensive, without even having to get the plane to Ibiza. And when we sell out we sell out hard and we sell out fast. Leave nothing unsold. Goddamn, if this ain’t a hit, I dunno what the hell is."

The single arrives just under two year on from DJ Seinfeld's 2021 album ‘Mirrors’ (released on Ninja Tune) which saw the producer hone a melancholic yet optimistic sound which took elements of the deliberately sepia-tinged lo-fi sound of his early work, and put it firmly into focus. The album garnered amazing support across the board, with glowing reviews from Resident Advisor, Pitchfork and Clash Magazine. Around the release Seinfeld was made the cover star of Mixmag, before taking his now lauded Mirrors live show to The Warehouse Project, Printworks, Primavera and a North American and Australian tour. 

For Confidence Man the single arrives hot on the heels of their recent stand-out collaboration with UK producer Daniel Avery for single “On & On (Again)”. They’ve recently performed at Primavera and Glastonbury where they curated a stage in 2023 and performed on the Park Stage in 2022. This marked the party-starter's first release since their breakthrough 2022 album ‘TILT’ which solidified their place as one of the hottest dance music acts of the moment.
