Dark is set for release on April 14th.

The high-octane EP kicks off with the eponymous title track which sees Melé's egular tour MC Slick Don spit tongue in cheek bars over skittering whip-cracking beats and a slinking bassline, shouting out the likes of Heidi, Rustie, Major Lazer, Mumdance, Wiley, S-Type, Oneman and Redlight along the way. Tribal head snapper "The Boogaloo" ups the pace with a menacing synth break and frenetic percussion while ‘I Like It’ is a cheeky ode to the ladies peppered with 12 gauge reloads, as fun and euphoric as Melé's celebrated DJ sets.

It’s not hard to see why the young producer and DJ has garnered fans and national airplay from the likes of Annie Mac, Mista Jam, Zane Lowe, Rodigan and Girls Music's own Toddla T since he started out 5 years ago aged just 16. Speaking about the upcoming EP, Toddla commented, “Wiiicked to be releasing one of my favourite DJ’s music on GMMelé is in his own lane so nobody canna cross it.”

Melé continues, “Very excited to be releasing my first proper EP in a while on one of my favourite labels, Girls Music. Toddla and Raf have consistently been putting out great music for a few years now so it's great to be part of it. The EP features Boya Dee and Peigh from old skool grime collective Nu Brand Flexxx, who I've been a big fans of for a while, and of course my MC Slick Don on the lead track. I also made a half jungle/half grime track called 'The Boogaloo' which is a club banger!”
