Dirty jazz&bassmeisters zero dB continue their remix project with all the attack, élan, grit and sheer fun associated with their unique brand of club music. Chris Vogado (one of the dBs and Mr. Fluid Ounce, the label that launched these boys back in 1999 with "Come Party") masterminded the remix album, "Heavyweight Gringos," released in 2007. Vogado approached 27 members of the Fluid Ounce Friends & Familia crew plus Ninja and Big Dada stablemates and laid the whole "Bongos, Bleeps & Basslines" album at their disposal. These heavyweight remixers plundered the dB drives and picked their perfect partners for the dance. Featured mixes are from: Peter Kruder (Kruder & Dorfmeister), Nwachukwu (Attica Blues then, CD-R founder now) Pez, Saffrolla, and Dave Da Gato. But that is not all (no, that is not all). We've saved the best till last. Leading out the single is zero dB's own rather marvellous remix of "Keep On" - a DJ Kentaro tune featuring the still-mighty Pharcyde. With a beat that crashes through your entire body and enough bass to run an international coarse fishing contest, what could make this better? Check the lyrics and you'll know...Pre-order from the Ninjashop. Released 5th May on 12" and download.
