Stream Mr. Scruff's New Album 'Friendly Bacteria' In Full

Head over to Clash to hear the brilliant new full-length from Mr. Scruff in its entirety in association with Deezer UK - also available to stream via the Clash App with access to an exclusive interview with the man himself.

Friendly Bacteria arrives as his first studio album since 2008's Ninja Tuna, in Carthy's own pithy words it’s “tougher, sparser, less samples, more bass. More vocals and collaborations and shorter tunes,” and features a series of vocal collaborations with fellow Mancunian Denis Jones (on the previously shared "Render Me"), the legendary Robert Owens and Vanessa Freeman.

It's out next Monday 19 May and is available on 2LP (heavyweight 180g vinyl with gatefold sleeve), CD and digitally from the Ninjashop, iTunes and Amazon.

Last week Scruff unveiled yet more additions for the Roundhouse (London) all-dayer on 31 May, now featuring Portico Quartet, Fatima & The Eglo Live Band, Werkha, Alexander Nut, Trevor Jackson - full lineup and tickets here.
