Jera
by Narasimha

— Released 2nd July 2026 on OUTLIER

Narasimha has unveiled his newest single, "Jera", a track that masterfully intertwines driving momentum with a hypnotic sense of restraint.

"Jera" operates at the intersection of percussive club music and deep electronic, maintaining a consistent 124-BPM pulse. The production is both earthy and cinematic, blending shadowy textures with a heavy low-end to create a ritualistic, immersive atmosphere. Jera’s drum arrangements draw direct inspiration from West African drumming traditions Narasimha studied in The Gambia and Guinea. The vocals are from a traditional song of the Dagbani people from Northern Ghana, also called “Jera”. The lyrics serve as a cautionary tale, advising listeners to be careful of unknown dangers in the world, especially hidden spiritual dangers that might not be easy to see in everyday life.
