Jadoo
by ZAINAB

— Released 25th March 2026 on Technicolour

Born in Lahore, Pakistan, and raised in New York City, ZAINAB’s ethos as a DJ and producer is shaped by the energy of both cities—global in spirit yet deeply local at heart. Having sharpened her productions through a series of successful club edits, ZAINAB (FKA ZEEMUFFIN) now turns toward original music, with “Jadoo” the first in a series of releases forthcoming on Ninja Tune’s Technicolour imprint.

Speaking about the release she says: “I’m honored to have my first release on Technicolour records/Ninja Tune. I’ve been a fan of the label for years and have always loved how they’re on the forefront of pushing new and exciting sounds forward in the dance music space. I’m even more excited to have my first release be one that I wrote and sang in Urdu – my native language – something that’s severely lacking in the global dance music scene.”

Under her previous moniker, she built a reputation as one of NYC’s most in-demand DJs, with sets that channel the grit, vibrancy, and cultural crosscurrents of cities that never sleep. Now, with her debut release, ZAINAB showcases a boldly unpredictable, dynamic, and precise sound, that weaves evolving global rhythms into something entirely her own—refusing to fit neatly into a single mold.
