The track, featuring North Dublin singer-songwriter Jane Griffiths on vocals, explores the emotional conflict of knowing a relationship is toxic but being unable to break free. It captures the struggle between self-awareness and attachment, driven by a meaningful connection and a fear of being alone.
Speaking on the track, the duo say, “Going back to our roots here we think this summer tune will give you that 49th and main feel you’ve been craving. Jane Griffith is a great musician, what a song.”

“Round The Block” is 49th & Main’’s most recent single, following a series of tracks that included the emotional “Sleepwalking” and the energetic “LIVE 4 THE WEEKEND.” This string of releases also featured a collection of impromptu songs created daily throughout November to raise funds for the Irish suicide prevention charity Pieta House. The duo documented the song-making process and shared content on milestone events, exceeding their fundraising goal of €5,000 for the charity that provides free, life-saving services.
