London based DJ and producer I. JORDAN shares “Give It 2 Me / Reclaimed” - a new double single on Ninja Tune. It arrives as the third and final release in a series of highly emotive and lovingly paired double-singles, all of which reflect a deeply personal twelve-month journey for Jordan and a continued understanding of their ever-changing self. It’s a unique and poignant release for Jordan who says that lead single “Give It 2 Me” is ‘some of the most personal music i’ve released all year’, reflecting on a time of heated emotions and anxiousness. ‘I have lots of confused feelings when listening back to this release’ they commented, ‘It’s rough, raw and rugged’.
Techno inspired B-side “Reclaimed” see’s Jordan take control, reclaiming feelings and spaces they didn’t feel comfortable in. ‘This track was written as I began to process all those intense feelings around ‘Give It 2 Me’ they add. It was created in March 2022 to play at Unfold - a London based club night committed to creating a freeing space where trans and queer communities can come together: “Unfold has had a huge impact on my life over the last year.” says Jordan. “It's inspired musically in a way that refreshed and reignited my passion for making music. I've met so many friends through it and it's a space where I truly feel a part of a community. As a trans person this space is so important to me, and many of us who attend the party.”

The artwork - a purposely discombobulating image of Jordan - see’s them tie in different colours to each of their releases, with “Give It 2 Me / Reclaimed” reflecting darker, twilight inspired shades of purple and pink. “Often the frequency spectrum is what informs the colours.. low ends are deeper colours, high ends are cooler colours” they recently explained to Journalist Tara Joshi for Disco Pogo, who featured Jordan as their issue 2 cover star.

“Give It 2 Me / Reclaimed” also marks the end of another hugely successful year for I. JORDAN. Following the release of a collaborative single with hit-maker Fred again.. in February, a nomination for Best Producer at the annual NME Awards, and three North American tours this year alone, they continue to be a leading force within the dance music community. Previous 2022 singles “Always Been” and “Hey Baby” both received a vast range of impressive support from the likes of Pitchfork, CLASH, DJ Mag, Mixmag and NME to name just a few.

“Give It 2 Me / Reclaimed” is out now on Ninja Tune, with more new music coming in 2023.
