by Metronomy and Porij

— Released 18th September 2024

The track sees Metronomy’s Joseph Mount partner with the Manchester-formed-London-based quartet Porij, for “Petit Boy”, which is out now on Ninja Tune.

“It was a joyous experience getting to collaborate with Metronomy on this track.” says Porij. “It’s a silly tongue in cheek song about dealing with insecurities within ourself and others. We started it many moons ago and came back to it recently with fresh ears and thought it was decent haha. Very much looking forward to finally getting it out in the world.”

The release comes hot on the heels of Metronomy’s ‘Posse EP Volume 2’, which across its five tracks saw Mount collaborate on singles with Pan Amsterdam (on the soulful bop “Nice Town”); Naima Bock and Joshua Idehen (on the understated ballad  “With Balance”); as well as tracks with Nourished by Time (on “My Love”); Faux Real & Miki (on “Contact High”), and  Lynks, SPIDER, Master Peace and TaliaBle (on “Typical”).
