The Austrian producer has created a dynamic back catalogue, moving through RnB, dubstep, dance, hip-hop, even jazz and gospel. The release of the ‘CONDITION’ trilogy saw salute move closer towards chopped up electronics and garage-style samples.
Their most recent singles ‘Joy’ and ‘Sternhimmel’ provided a slice of euphoric dance music, garnering acclaim from Mixmag, DJ Mag, Notion, BBC Radio 1 and more. Recently they’ve built an impressive catalogue of live sets, including Boiler Room Melbourne (where they debuted ‘Wait For It’), Lost Village, Secret Garden Party, The Warehouse Project, Parklife, fabric and Field Day, as well as their first tour across the US and Australia. Named as one of the DJs who defined 2022 by Mixmag, salute also remixed the likes of DJ Seinfeld and Kaytranada.
On the track, salute explains: “like Joy, this is a song I started years and years ago and struggled to finish. A thousand iterations and an amazing vocal, we have Wait For It, a tune I am really stoked to be putting out on Technicolour.”
Undoubtedly one of the most exciting exports right now, salute is blazing their path as the new face of UK dance music.
"Austria-born, Manchester-based DJ and producer salute spent the best part of 2022 championing new, unearthed sounds and turning the biggest club dancefloors - from Manchester's Warehouse Project to Birstol's Propyard - upside down in the process." - Mixmag
“salute approaches dance music with a refreshingly unpretentious philosophy” – DJ Mag
“bright energy, housey 4-by-4 beats, bittersweet synth lines and vibrant cut-and-spliced vocals.” - Notion
