Poolside (aka Jeffrey Paradise) returns with a new standalone single “Otherside” made in collaboration with indie-pop duo MiiRACLES and singer-songwriter Thunder Jackson, out now on Counter Records. The release follows “Pull Together” featuring Satin Jackets released earlier this year.

“Otherside” was born out of a single, spontaneous session in London in May 2025. The track took shape in Damon Albarn's studio (Studio 13) in Notting Hill while Paradise was working on new material for the next Poolside album, shortly after losing his Los Angeles studio in the Palisades Fire. During these sessions he connected with MiiRACLES—the duo featuring London Grammar's Dan Rothman and Digital Farm Animals' Nick Gale. They brought in Thunder Jackson for vocals, and by the end of that unexpected day, “Otherside” was fully realised.

Speaking on the single, Poolside says "On the plane to London, I logged into Facebook for the first time in years and found out three friends had passed away. Sadness, distance, guilt, nostalgia, all at once. Half flippant, totally sincere, I caught myself thinking, I guess I’ll catch you on the otherside. Everyone has their own version of that feeling. And that feeling was one that Kyle, Nick, and Dan were able to capture in the studio with me. This one goes out to the lost ones, already waiting on the ‘otherside’.”
